It is spring so that means more flower photographs! While I was in Omaha earlier this month, I visited the Lauritzen Gardens, a 100-acre oasis in the heart of the city. The first stop on my self-guided tour was the stunning glass Conservatory which opened in the Fall of 2014 (see picture below). The Conservatory houses beautiful fountains and "streams" as well as tropical/warm-weather plants. Because I am used to seeing many of these warm-weather plants in South Louisiana, I was eager to get outside where the tulips and peonies were in full bloom. Wild turkeys ran through the Gardens but, unfortunately, they were too quick for my amateur photography skills. The Gardens also feature an expansive model train garden which drew the attention of children and adults alike (myself included!).
